Frequently Asked Questions - "FAQ's"What type of community is Twin Rivers? The Twin Rivers mountain resort is an upscale mountain community with a sincere concern for the natural environment and how the community blends with the beauty of the land. Our main amenity is possibly the best fly fishing in the Southeastern United States. Easy day hikes to Price Lake on the Blue Ridge Parkway, or more extensive hikes to the top of Grandfather Mountain (privately owned and maintained trail system) can be started from the adjoining Park land. Centrally located to all of the High Country, in minutes a resident can be in any of several local communities. ![]() What deed restrictions protect my investment? Deed restrictions for the main community require a minimum of 1,500 total sq. ft., however through the architectural review process the developers strongly encourage houses of 2,000 sq. ft. or greater, we expect the average to be approximately 3,000. Two distinct areas, River's Edge or Meadowood allow smaller cabins and cottages, giving buyers many options. The use of native stone, wood and other material is encouraged. Set backs are 30' from adjoining property, 40' from the roads. You are not required to build within a certain time, or ever, but once building has begun it must be completed within one year. No temporary structures or trailers. Of course we provide you with a complete set of restrictions for your review. (Book 460, page 679, Watauga County) ![]()
